Description of wastewater treatment

  The waste water discharged in the process of pulping and papermaking with waste paper as raw material contains organic substances that are easy to be dissolved by microorganisms. Chemical oxygen demand (COD) is usually used to represent the concentration of organic substances contained in the waste water. General with waste paper as raw material to pulp and paper, finished product per production 1 ton of paper, the waste materials containing 50 kg of COD, the 50 kg of COD in the process of pulp and paper are dissolved in water production, and with the discharge of waste water produced. So the concentration of COD in the wastewater from pulp and paper in the process of joining related to discharge water, the amount of water used in pulping and papermaking process (that is, the discharge of water), the more, the greater the concentration of COD in the wastewater is low, conversely it grows.

  If our company produces 1 ton of finished paper, its water consumption is 10m? The COD concentration of the effluent is 0.05t * (1-15%)/10t=0.00425, i.e., 4250mg/L.

  The effluent discharged can be filtered and treated by slanting sieve first to recover the fine fiber and other solid materials in the waste water. The COD concentration in the waste water can be reduced to 3825mg/L by removing 10% of the COD in the waste water. Since then, there have been two approaches.

  Scheme 1: the removal rate of COD is 40-60% and the intermediate value is 50%. Then the COD concentration in the wastewater can be further reduced to 1912.5mg/L.

  Scheme 2: after the wastewater is processed by slanting sieve, the removal rate of COD is 70-90%, and the median value is 80%. The COD concentration in the wastewater can be further reduced to 765.6mg/L.
